Minty Shortbread Treats
Welcome spring with a cup of tea and a dainty treat.

What you'll need:
  • 1 bag 3 MUSKETEERS® Brand Mint Miniatures, thinly sliced
  • 1 bag DOVE® Brand Miniatures Dark Chocolate
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon mint extract
What to do:
  1. Preheat oven to 350?
  2. Beat butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix flour and salt together and then gradually add to butter mixture, blend until mixture just begins to pull together. Add vanilla and mint extracts, mix until blended.
  4. Divide dough into two pieces. Refrigerate for 20 minutes. Roll each piece, one at a time, into a 6x12-inch rectangle. Lay three rows of sliced 3 MUSKETEERS® Brand Miniatures along the length of each rectangle. Fold dough over candy, like a book, and seal with tines of a fork.
  5. Place rectangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cut into 3/4-inch strips while still hot.
  6. Put 8 DOVE® Brand Miniatures Dark Chocolates into resealable bag and microwave for 15 seconds, until melted. Snip corner and drizzle chocolate over shortbread strips.
Makes 2 dozen (or more) cookies.
