It's Time for School
Tick tock! A candy clock that helps children learn how to tell time.
Prep time: 20 min.
Difficulty: Moderate
What you'll need:
- 2 bags SKITTLES® Brand Candies
- Marker or press-on numbers
- Metal paper fastener
- 14 x 20-inch brightly colored poster board
- Double-sided tape
What to do:
- Using poster board or cardboard, cut out a circle (12 inches in diameter).
- Draw an 8-inch circle guide inside the 12-inch poster board circle. Write or press on the numerals (1-12) around the 8-inch circle, just as they would appear on a clock.
- Attach the corresponding numbers of SKITTLES® Brand Candies in the space above each number, adhering them with double-sided tape.
- Cut clock hands from the poster board scraps (one 7-inch and one 5-inch). Attach to the center of the clock with the metal paper fastener.
- Move the hands of the clock around to practice telling time. You can also arrange the hands on the clock to show bedtime, time for school, time to get up and time for homework.
