- Create a special menu for mom that your kids can help cook. This will be a fun project for your kids that will also give mom some time to relax.
- Since spring is when moms like to plant their favorite flowers, why not let the kids make her a custom "seed" packet out of white construction paper? Have them decorate the packet with markers and glitter, then fill it with her favorite M&M'S®.
- Make the most of Mother's Day and really show mom how much you care. Have the kids color in a big banner with markers and crayons that reads, "Happy Mother's Day!" Secretly hang it in the living room the night before, so when mom wakes up, she'll be surprised to see how excited everyone is for her special day!
- Set aside a day for mom to spend pampering herself. Give her gift certificates to a spa, to her favorite store, and to a restaurant (she can take a friend). Try to keep all of your "mom" questions for the next day, and make sure she doesn't do any work!
- Put together a collection of some of mom's favorite family memories and make a mini Mother's Day photo album. Go through your old photo albums and and pick out the best photos. Get the kids to write down some of the things they remember about the picture and why it was a special moment for them.
