Prep time: 60 min.
Decoration time: 10 min.
Difficulty: Challenging
What you'll need:
  • Assortment of FUN SIZE® packets of Mars Candies, such as STARBURST® Brand Jellybeans, DOVE® Brand Milk or Dark Chocolate Eggs, and M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for Easter
  • 10 balloons (approximately 9 inches)
  • 3 bottles white glue (non-toxic)
  • Old newspapers
  • 30 sheets brightly colored tissue paper
  • 1 medium inexpensive paintbrush
  • 10 aluminum foil cupcake liners
  • Scissors
  • Easter grass, optional
What to do:
  1. Lightly inflate 10 balloons. Prepare a glue mixture by diluting two parts of glue with one part water; set aside
  2. Tear the tissue paper into 1 1/2-inch strips.
  3. Cover the balloons with several layers of tissue strips that are "painted" with the glue mixture. Overlap the edges of the strips, completely covering the entire balloon. Using the cupcake liner as a holder, set a balloon on each liner to dry overnight.
  4. When completely dry, cut off the balloon's knot, deflating it. Trim the top, creating a 4-inch hole. Reach in and remove the deflated balloon, and then fill it with Easter Grass and an assortment of STARBURST® Brand Jellybeans, DOVE® Brand Milk or Dark Chocolate Eggs, and M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for Easter. Arrange the eggs by themselves, or in a group on a bed of Easter grass.
Makes 10 eggs.
