Ingrid Hoffmann’s TWIX® Bar Log Cabin
Renovate that gingerbread house into a tasty TWIX® Log Cabin.

What you'll need:
- 2 large egg whites
- 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2 teaspoons water
- 3 cups sifted confectioners' sugar, plus 1/2 cup for dusting
- 1 bag DOVE® Brand Milk Chocolate Miniatures
- 12 or more TWIX® Brand Fun Size® Bars
- 1 bag of M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for the Holidays
- 1 bag of SNICKERS® Brand Fun Size® Bars
- Waxed or parchment paper
What to do:
- Icing Cement
- Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and water until frothy. Add sugar and beat until stiff, 5 to 10 minutes. Use immediately or cover and use within 8 hours.
- Log Cabin
- Melt DOVE® Brand Milk Chocolate Miniatures in a double boiler or a metal bowl over simmering water in a saucepan and stir until smooth. Using a spatula, spread the chocolate into a 1/8" thick rectangle on waxed or parchment paper. Chill the chocolate until it sets, about 15 minutes.
- Using a sharp knife, cut out two equal rectangles, about 3" x 5" each. Using a popsicle stick or small knife, attach thin slices of SNICKERS® Brand Fun Size® Bars and M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for the Holidays and decorate both halves of the roof. Chill the decorated roof pieces.
- On a large flat plate, assemble the base of the log cabin by setting two TWIX® Fun Size® Bars a little less than one candy bar length apart. Using the icing cement, attach 2 more TWIX® Fun Size ® Bars on top, creating the dove-tailed log cabin pattern. Continue this process until the base is approximately 3" high. Using smaller pieces of TWIX® Fun Size® Bars, create the gables for the front and back of the cabin on which to set the roof. Chill cabin until ready to assemble (approximately 15 minutes).
- Using the icing cement, attach roof pieces one at a time to the log cabin base. When both pieces are set, decorate the top with more M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for the Holidays, scrap pieces of chocolate, and one TWIX® Fun Size® Bar as the chimney.
- Using a mesh sieve or sifter, sift confectioners’ sugar over the top of your log cabin to make snow. Refrigerate until ready to display.
