  • Prep Time: 20 min.
  • Bake Time: 120 min.
  • Cool Time: Dry out overnight
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Yield: Makes 30 sticks.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons egg white powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • Pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 ¾ cups M&M’S® Mint Chocolate Candies for the Holidays
  • Red paste food coloring
  • 2 cookie sheet pans
  • Reynolds® Parchment Paper
  • Large resealable plastic bag

Directions

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 200°F. Line sheet pans with Reynolds® Parchment Paper.
  • 2. Combine the egg white powder and 1/2 cup of warm water in a large bowl, stir with a fork until foamy and let stand for 2 minutes.
  • 3. Add the cream of tartar and salt, beat until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in the sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, until stiff and shiny. Fold in the M&M’S® Mint Chocolate Candies for the Holidays.
  • 4. Paint 3 lines of red food paste coloring on the inside of a resealable plastic bag. Spoon in the meringue mixture. Snip an inch corner from the bag and pipe wavy lines of meringue, about 5 inches long, onto the prepared cookie sheets (about 15 per sheet).
  • 5. Bake for approximately 2 hours, rotating the pan after the first hour. Turn off the oven and let stand over night to make crisp. Peel from Reynolds® Parchment Paper and serve.
  • 6. Tip: If you make these in advance, keep them fresh and crisp in an airtight container.
