M&M'S® Picture Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 package gingerbread mix
  • Tubes of prepared icing (white and assorted colors) with various tips
  • M&M’S® MINIS® Milk Chocolate Candies
  • 1 cup M&M’S® MINIS® Milk Chocolate

Directions

  • 1. Prepare gingerbread mix as package directs for gingersnaps and soft ginger cookies or easy gingerbread cookies.
  • 2. Press dough into greased 9x13-inch baking pan and bake in 375°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes until set but not firm.
  • 3. Cool 20 minutes on rack.
  • 4. Loosen edges with knife and invert onto cutting surface.
  • 5. Trim edges 1/2 inch on all sides.
  • 6. Cut gingerbread into squares and rectangles of desired sizes and sides at least 2 1/2 inches long.
  • 7. Make "frames" with white icing.
  • 8. Make "pictures" with M&M’S® MINIS® Milk Chocolate Candies, attaching them to the cookies with icing.
  • 9. Santa faces, reindeer, candles, bells, trees and ornaments are some suggestions.
  • 10. When icing is set, wrap each cookie in cellophane or plastic wrap.
  • 11. Tip: Line pan with aluminum foil and grease for easy removal of gingerbread and quick cleanup.
