Out-of-this-world treats for your little astronauts!
Prep time: 20 min.
Baking time: 45 min.
Decoration time: 45 -60 min.
Difficulty: Easy
What you'll need:
  • 1 bag MILKY WAY® Brand Miniatures
  • 2 bags M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies
  • 1 bag M&M’S® MINIS® Milk Chocolate Candies MEGA TUBES™
  • 2 18.25-oz. boxes favorite cake mix
  • 2 16-oz. cans frosting
  • Yellow and orange food coloring
  • 1-1/2 quart Pyrex glass bowl
  • 2-cup Pyrex glass bowl
  • 2 1-cup custard cups
  • 2 small mixing bowls
What to do:
  1. Unwrap the MILKY WAY® Brand Miniatures and chop. Prepare the cake mixes according to the directions on the box. Fold the candy into the batter, before transferring it to the three Pyrex bowls. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven—the large 1-1/2-quart bowl at 45 minutes, the 2-cup bowl at 30 minutes, and the 1-cup custard cups at 20 minutes.
  2. Keep 1/2 can of vanilla frosting aside. Divide the remaining frosting between two bowls. Tint one bowl yellow and the other bowl orange.
  3. Spread the two larger cakes with a combination of the orange and yellow frosting, giving the cakes a swirled look. Press a few lines of orange M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies around the smaller cake. Set the cakes aside.
  4. Spread the remaining two smaller cakes with the white vanilla frosting. Cover the cakes with M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies.
  5. Place the largest cake in the center of a large platter, or on a table. Make a ring with a combination of brown, orange and yellow M&M’S® MINIS® Chocolate Candies and regular M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies.
  6. Arrange the three smaller cakes around the larger cake. Scatter the M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies around all the cakes.
