Fix It Up Relay
Give your party-goers a taste of what it must really be like in the PIT with this super fast relay!
Prep time: (in advance) 45 min.
Activity time: 20 min.
Difficulty: Easy
What you'll need:
- 2 four-ft pieces of butcher paper
- Tape
- Magic marker
- Two buckets or bowls
- 10 paper strips (2”x4”)
- 10 small brightly color plastic watering pails (available in discount stores) or inexpensive plastic containers to be decorated like oil cans
- 1 bag (13.30) SNICKERS® Brand FUN SIZE® Bars
- 1 bag (13.30) STARBURSTS® Brand Fruit Chews FUN SIZE®
- 1 bag (13.30) 3 MUSKETEERS® Brand FUN SIZE® Bars
- 1 bag (13.30) M&M’S® Brand Peanut FUN SIZE®
What to do:
- Tape two pieces of butcher paper to wall.
- Draw one car on each piece of paper.
- Write each task twice, once on two separate strips of paper. Put a strip in each bucket or bowl.
- Tasks:
- Wash windows (wipe with sponges)
- Fill gas (empty container into a bucket)
- Change tire (draw them on the car with a marker)
- Change headlights (draw them on the car with a marker)
- Change oil
How to play:
Divide the guests into 2 groups. The first child in line pulls a strip of paper from a bowl. He then runs to his team’s car and performs the task races back to his team. The next child in line pulls a task and then performs it. Whichever team completes all the tasks first, wins!Prize: Everyone is a winner!
Pretend that the watering pails are really oil cans. Begin by removing the spray tip of the spout. Using either transfer lettering or a magic marker, write “OIL CAN” on each pail. Fill them with an assortment of SNICKERS® Brand FUN SIZE® Bars, STARBURST® Brand Fruit Chews FUN SIZE®, 3 MUSKETEERS® Brand FUN SIZE® Bars and M&M’S® Brand Peanut FUN SIZE®.
