Candy Paint Palette
Keep kids inspired with these take-home colorful candy paint tubes!
Difficulty: Moderate
What you'll need:
- 2 bags SKITTLES® Brand Bite Size Candies or M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies
- 16 small clear plastic treat bags (4.75 x 3 inches)
- Colored curling ribbonsorange, yellow, blue, green & red
- Brown (or "wood"-like) poster board
- Double-sided tape
- One piece each red, blue, yellow, orange, green & purple construction paper
- Printable templates
What to do:
- For each "paint tube", separate the SKITTLES® Brand Bite Size Candies into single colors. Fold each clear plastic bag into thirds, keeping the top open. Tape each bag to retain its "tube" shape. Spoon 1/4 cup of SKITTLES® Brand Bite Size Candies into each bag. Twist the top closed.
- Gather three yards of matching colored curling ribbon and wrap it into 5-inch-long circles. Snip one end of each circle so the ribbon with the fan is out, and attach the other end to the bag "tube" with the matching colored candy.
- Using the printable template, cut out 8 artist’s palettes from the poster board. Then, using the paint splat template, cut out 8 "paint splats" from each color of construction paper. Arrange 8 splats (one of each color) per palette.
- Tape two SKITTLES® Brand Bite Size Candies paint tubes onto each artist’s palette. Arrange the palettes close to the door, so when the children leave, they can each take a palette and paint tubes with them!
