Sidewalk Chalk Art
Let the kids get artistic on the sidewalk! Just get a bunch of sidewalk chalk from your local craft store and assign a sidewalk square in front of your house to each child. Let them draw, color or write whatever they want in their square. If you don't have a sidewalk, they can use your driveway to create one gigantic mural!
Fun Foam Frames
Before the party starts, create picture frames for each child by cutting frame shapes out of craft foam (be sure to leave about 3 inches of border for the edges). When the kids arrive, have them decorate their frames with stickers, markers and glitter. When they're done, have them glue magnetic strips along the back of the frames. While the glue is drying, organize a painting party and let the kids paint pictures on pre-measured poster board. Once the paintings have dried, place them into the frames and let them take their framed paintings home!
Tabletop Palette
Turn the party table into a life-sized palette! Cover your table with white butcher's paper and then cut out differently colored "painting spots" from construction paper as placemats. Then, in the table's center, arrange a pile of several "tubes of paint" and "paint brushes" made from long cardboard tubes covered with different colors of construction paper. Everyone will love eating from this colorful tabletop palette!
