Digging for Dinosaur Eggs
A take-home goodie that guests can choose from the dinosaur nest.
Prep time: 40 min.
Difficulty: Easy
What you'll need:
- 5 bags your favorite Mars candies, such as 3 MUSKETEERS® Brand FUN SIZE® Bars, STARBURST® Brand Fruit Chews, TWIX® Brand FUN SIZE® Bars and MILKY WAY® Brand Miniatures
- 10 sheets plastic wrap (10 inches long)
- 1 bag metallic green basket filler (basket accents)
- Tape
- 10 pieces crepe paper or tissue paper (12 x 12-inch)
- 1 bag of party balloons
What to do:
- Lay the plastic wrap sheets flat on a surface. Bundle together 8 to 10 assorted Mars candies. Place them in the center of each plastic wrap piece, along with the green basket filler.
- Gather the sides of each piece up and around the candy, shaping it into an oval "egg" shape. Tape closed.
- Wrap each egg in crepe paper and tape closed.
- Fill a plastic tube or inflatable swimming pool (or bathtub, large plastic tub or large cardboard box) with blown-up balloons. Put the eggs into the tub, hidden under the balloons. Then, just before the kids leave, take them to the pool to dig for their eggs!
